Training begins the minute you get the puppy. There are a lot of little things you can do with puppies. It is important to keep all activates fun, short, and NOT to tire your puppy out during these activates. Tired puppies are not happy puppies, and will stop performing. Puppies need to be socialized so they don’t become shy or introverted. Take your puppy to the park, let lots of people play with it. Take your puppy in the house, inside your home there is a lot of noise such as the TV, Radio, etc. Do everything slowly don’t rush anything. Don’t panic if the puppy acts a little shy if you panic your puppy will sense it. Most of all don’t try to pet or love on the puppy should it act a little shy. Petting or loving on it only intensifies its anxiety. Simply turn you’re back to the puppy and set down next to him/her and let the puppy come to you. More information to come in future bloggs.

Mike has a litter of Pointer pups due any day now.

Very talented setter and is very stylish on point. He’s a true pleasure to hunt over.
We went bird hunting yesterday afternoon. We found 6 coveys of birds. The dogs performed very well, the shooting could have been better. Have a very Merry Christmas
